    Work Space

Curious as to what other scrappers work spaces look like. Mine is a shelter off my shop. I do this with my dad. Not been doing it long but i can say the time I've been able to spend just hanging out with my pops is priceless!

This is mine...a few changes since the pic but you get the idea.

Hey that is better what I am using at this time.

5 storage units in the sun...blocking off countless of other units there *they like...put us in the back of the place lol*

We just roll everything out using pallet jacks...set up gaylords an go to town on what ever we are working with that day. Tomorrow I have to get about 2,000 pounds of wire ready to be sent out later this week or the start of next week. But hey..you have something to keep the sun off of you..thats half of the fight!

...I really should just bite the bullet an get a warehouse for the $900

We are working out of a mobile home while we are putting up our building. It works out great. We just tore out the rooms (other than the bathroom) and set up shop.

I have a small workshop in my basement consisting of a workbench with all my tools and a pallet I put all my 5 gallon buckets on. This is used for breaking down smaller stuff and as a sort of HQ. I also have a garage across town that I keep all my steel at as well as for breaking down bigger stuff. I have the space, all I need is the scrap.

thanks for sharing Dixie...I work under a tent barn...20'x40'.....although I have 20x30 full of old furniture, lumber, etc. Most of the time it's great, but the temp has been hovering around 100 degrees this week, so I can't work as many hours as I'd like. Some days I get up at 5:30 to make my rounds and do some "breaking down" then go inside. In the afternoon, I take a nap and then work 'til 12:00 or 1am. Can't take the heat in my "old age" !!!

Re-cycler that rolling fire pit looks awesome man!! Love seeing the work space. Don't know if you could see my vice set up on the left. Got it mounted on a huge piece of oak that I had to drive VERY large nails into each side and hook chains to it to let it roll behind the ole bronco...set it up and mounted the vice and a squirrel cage fan on. Had to notch the side a bit to keep from bustin knuckles..lol

Well i've got a 10x20 storage unit that costs me $84 a month. Thats just where i store most of my stuff, mainly because of my amazing white trash neighbors that like to inform people that me and my 60 year old, dieing Vietnam Vet father are meth dealers. /rant

I work in my garage for the most part, to get outta the sun. But when its cloudy, everything gets broken down on the tailgate. I have 2 bins i got from United Metals. 1 for my really small tin (stuff that ends up never getting thrown out at the yard, it all adds up!) and my small aluminum heat sinks. Behind that, a small, POS, 4x8 white trailer.

If i can every figure out how to get pictures from my phone, to the computer, i'll show yall. (I just got a phone 2 years ago when i was 18. Born and raised small town livin, never really needed one)
