I was sitting outside near the front door watching for Trick-or-Treaters. We don't have a lot of kids in our neighborhood, so I will wave at cars as they drive by, especially if they slow down like they are looking for candy.

However, one thing about the whole evening reminded me of scrapping...

Sometimes a car would drive by very slowly and they'd see me outside waving at them. But they might look at all my neighbors who aren't giving out candy and say to themselves, "Nah, let's not stop for just that one house. Let's look for something better."

Where have I witnessed the same thing? When I do Curb Co. detail I do the SAME THING. I will drive by a big pile of branches and say "Nah, I'm not going to stop there and waste my time. I'll look for something better."

So, yes, Halloween got me thinking about scrapping. Oh yeah, I was also stripping Romex as I waited for the kids to come by.

Went to the yard yesterday with a load of shred, Got to the pay window and said trick or treat to the cashier. She said we dont have any candy! Both her and the scale girl laughed. Instead of candy I got $58.00 (800lbs @ 145/Ton) Best Halloween ever.

Checked my dumpster route on the way home and the other "trick or treaters" must have beat me to it

You know you're a real scrapper when you strip Romex while waiting on kids for 'tick or treat'. I was the only one home at my place, so I just stayed in and refurbed two HP Probooks I got on eBay for about $30 each. Made for a nice night.
