There are online MTG card buyers. Use them.

Carefully dig through them to see if any are valuable (probably been picked through). Most likely you will have to sell in bulk and hope anybody wants them.

What even is this? I've heard the term "magic" referenced before as a game, but other than that I have no idea what this is, or why it is. Can someone please explain for the rest of us so fellow scrappers can be on the lookout for a new kind of scrap?

Its what is called a collectable card game. Been out since 1993. Was the first trading card game. Think of them as baseball cards for us gaming nerds. Originaly you would play against someone for a prize. usually 1 card pulled at random from the deck of the person you were playing against. Think of marbles in the old days. Well if you were buying this game back and 93 and had some of the original cards in mint condition you could fetch enough money to buy a house. I know I wish I had the cards I bought back in the day again. I bet I sold over $100,000 worth of cards in todays money for $300.
