    What is it?

Just wondering if there are any data guys or gals that can identify this connector and the type of cable.

I had the pleasure of installing a network using these back in the early 90's. That was the first and the last time I ever had to deal with these, thank goodness.

    No cheating or using google.

Take all the fun out of it why don't you.

My official answer is it's A data thingamajigwhatchamucallit.

My unofficial can't be shared, as it's unofficial, an I cheated to get it.

I'm a rule breaker. a true rebel. fear me and my cheating skills!

Take your meds daily they said, everything will be ok. They didn't say it'd make everything boring to.

Youth and enthusiasm will never beat old age and treachery.

As someone that worked in an IBM parts warehouse in the late 90's, I concur.

I only know because I pulled a bunch of it out of a place I work at. The connectors are still on the walls but the wire is out.

Without cheating, it looks like a quad-wire data cable.

There's a business I make service calls to that has some of these cables and the old hub they all plug into. I would like to see what's inside of that thing.

I was thinking old Tokenring as well. Banks loved using that stuff since it was more stable in large offices then coax based networks were.
