    Gold Mine in Northern Ontario

    Some mind boggling stats from an open pit gold mine near Cochrane, in northern Ontario. Some of what stood out for me - in Q3 2016: yield of 0.88 g per tonne of ore, producing over 127,000 ounces of gold from 23.5 million tonnes of rock. It gives some perspective on what concentrations of precious metals in ewaste might be viable for recovery.
