Wire stripping machines

I was wondering if anyone on here has a wire stripping machine. I have been looking at them on YouTube and going to a few websites looking at machines and prices. I'm not looking for one of the hand style ones or anything like that, I'm looking for a powered machine, maybe a drill machine if it is a quality unit because I can put an electric motor and gear box on it, but I would prefer to buy one already built with a motor.

The biggest thing to me is it needs to be able to do 14 gauge, hopefully even 12. Also I would like it to be able to do stranded. I like the ones with the 10-14 or whatever different holes for different sizes because I don't have time to change the adjustment on every wire.

And now, I know I'm sounding picky and maybe even demanding lol, but I would love to find a machine that will do small wire with two blades so when the wire comes out, it is already stripped and you don't have to peel the jacket off.

I'm just trying to see who has what machine and what they think about it, And what they recommend to buy. I have many many tons of material and I buy hundreds to thousands of pounds of material a week and am just looking to find a way to best strip it.

Tons has been written on this subject so now you can go to the bottom of this thread and read others that will enlighten you.

I will address the double blade for the small gauge wire. After a time you will likely find the smaller gauge wire not worth your time. To get the second cut put the wire through a second pass. I have done this and it is very helpful. I also stopped stripping wire because I don't get wire that is worth the effort(for me).

For me this is a two fold concern: volume of wire you get and added value to your scrap. Consider this the time you use stripping may be better used getting more scrap, educating yourself on other areas of scrapping, streamlining your business, expanding your client base. 73, Mike
