I've set a few clients up with Dragon's Naturally Speaking. It's a great program, and the Essentials version was about $40-50 last time I checked. You'll need a headset- make sure that one is either included with the software, or that you purchase a standalone one.

wife uses dragonspeak, says she hate's it, but it's better than typing notes and reports since they laid off all the secretary's...I think that is the most popular one used in business.
