    You want a sweater, Jimi?

Okay, I'd have to say horses then.
I brought them carrots a couple years ago and now they come running every time they see me.
For me, the question should read: How much scrap can you find before you get mugged?

    The culprits.

Spiders , siders, and more spiders. I hate spiders. It seem that the one thing you hate the most, is the one thing you run into the most.

Birds, normal everyday Thrushes, sparrows and seagulls.
Next might be cats, the furry sort, then spiders, then snails.

We don't really have 'pest' animals in NZ, theres no poisonous spiders unless you search for them in remote places. Except Possums, they got introduced from Australia and live in trees in native forest and sometimes trees around the edge of towns. They are considered a proper 'Pest'. We can trap then and sell the skins but most possum huters just pluck he long fur off them. Its worth good money.
It never freezes and is warm and mixes with wool for quality clothing material.

Theres no snakes at all, no racoons, skunks or other marmosets, or other wild livestock.(no goats or deer unless its on a farm, then you can include sheep and cows too)
We do get spiders that are 'largeish' but not as big as they have in Australia(HUGE!! Dinner plate size!).

I pick them out and give them a new home, sometimes they are protecting their ball of tiny spiders, nest I guess.
I move that and put the spider with it.

In two cases I have seen crockroaches, ugggghh. We have native ones, really tiny things but gross. We never have them in houses, they live in 'bush', trees and such.
Never see ants except on the edge of concrete paths and you have to look for them, tiny ants too, no 'biters' at all.

NZ is pretty safe, the only thing thats going to bite you except pet dogs is sandflys, I might see 2 or 3 on a hot day as I'm close to the coast.. No mozzies at all, they only come out at night anyway, in native forests. Billions of sandflys in native forest areas though.

Yeah, so Birds, then pet cats...

I've hauled scrap cars from various ;locations across Canada,

Hope BC - marmot hitched a ride to my yard, skunks nesting under cars, pack rats building nests under the hood then lots of wasp nests.
Penticton BC - rattle and bull snakes, lots of wild horse herds on the reservations..
Vancouver Island - deer, moose and elk hides and remains stuffed into reservation vehicles.
Manitoba - porcupines, mice and ticks by the millions, honey bees that had swarmed and relocated inside the wall of an old house got about 20 lbs of honey filled comb. .

Wasn't scrapping, just riding around when I came across two ducks sharing a log with a turtle.

Lately, it's been wild turkeys while i'm doing my tear downs out back. There are about five in the flock and those suckers are big & healthy. They come within about 20 feet of me.

Before that ... it was a little brown bunny.

He had a bad day a few weeks ago. He was out there grazing on the lawn in the early morning. The turkeys came in and they squared off over territory. He had lots of heart. He stood his ground but they drove him off.

Later that day ... i walked down to the mailbox and there was a little brown lump of fur on the side of the road. Mr bunny got hit by a car.

There's a sad lesson to be learned somewhere.
