Thank you 1956 for your well wishes. I am surprised by the lack of responses. For the believers, Happy Easter. For everyone good luck on your personal choices, values, and beliefs. The ultimate goal is peace with yourself and your creator.

I’m the cook around here so I prep things early. How does it look so far?
Ham with cloves a custom glaze made of real maple syrup. Orange juice, brown sugar, sweet mustard and dry cherry wine.

    And twice baked yams.
    Half done.

I don't think that ham would go over very well for passover.

We usually eat fish on Easter in my family, I got a huge flounder filleted it myself. Too bad it's not warm enough to catch them yet otherwise I never by flatfish when they're in season lol.

For me this time of year also means multiple bags of aluminum foil to bring to the scrap yard! A lot of the blocks next to were I live are Jewish and they always throw away mass amounts of foil and foil baking pans, etc after every Jewish holiday both the houses and the synagogue.

My non-ferrous guy stopped taking Al foil baking pans a number of years ago. At least that was with beverage cans. I should ask him again if they will take them. Maybe somewhere else in town does...

My yard takes clean foil for clean aluminum price and any foil with food or oil or anything on it as dirty. They don't even care if it's wet and stinking they'll still take it. There's a guy who's always bringing in pick-up loads of empty tomato sauce cans mostly from a pizzeria still wet and they take them.

Happy Easter to one and all.

Oh and just in case you have no tooth picks to hold the cherries and pineapples on your ham, 1 1/2" finish work great!!

My youngest lives in South Bend (yes the home of Notre Dame) and came down for Easter dinner. This last week she was running all over town and collecting Peeps for me. She handed me 2 sacks with about 12 different packages of Peeps in every flavor you can imagine. Even sour watermelon. Just to give you an idea of how many she captured.

    Happy Easter everyone.
Great day today. We sang some good songs at church, went to my Mom's house for lunch, hid/found Easter eggs and went fishing this afternoon.
