    Jump

This is aimed at those in Syracuse/Liverpool/this side of NY. Would one of you guys mind coming by the house and giving me a jump? Went out yesterday to go to the store and truck was dead. No lights, no nothing. I let it sit and this morning the blower motor came on then went off, then nothing. This happened only one other time when we were in TN but I had my dad to come give me a jump. I don't have a charger or battery start, but I do have a set of cables. Don't have an extra battery to use for such an ocasion.

Might want to bring an extra set of cables so they can be stretched length to length.
    Much appreciated,
    Matt

Wish I could help, but jumper cables will not stretch from here to there. In the same situation once, shoveled the neighbors drive way to get a jump. Might be quicker, but you can always wait for others on the forum to come to the rescue. Good luck.

lol to the both of ya. For all anyone knew I wanted to fist bump everyone. Anyhow, wife's aunt came by and let us borrow her HHR and still couldnt get it to jump. Check engine light just bearly lit and every now and then the interior light would flicker but wouldn't turn over, no clicks, no nothing.

On the plus side had to park the HHR on the lawn to get it off the street or the PO will be pissy and have it towed.

My next trick will be to train Sledge in the ways of the Master Youtube DJ.

We got him into ewaste, so we gotta ramp it up slow.

    Oh I got more.

Sirscrapalot - I was going to ask "How High?" but then I saw it was a kind of serious post so I just posted videos instead. Your welcome.

Sounds to me like loose/ corroded battery terminals. I had one I chased for awhile till I checked and double checked everything else and found the battery terminal was loose on the starter. Last place I looked.

Better then your posts melting(happened to an 84 explorer). As per this truck, it has to be a ground somewhere as these posts are clean. If this keeps happening I'm going to make it a point to either cary a second battery with me or buy a charger and extension cord.

I moved from Liverpool, NY in 1974 and was very careful not to leave anything behind so with that and the current weather conditions I will not be stopping by. Sorry. Mike

its cool - I love it here. Shoulda never left the first time. Love the snow too. I was more or less aiming to those that already reside here(you know who you are). I wouldn't expect someone on the west coast to drive all the way here just to jump start my truck.

If you had the right amount of cooler filler I'd be tempted. Just not in the winter.
