Well glad to see you back. Don't worry about what people think or say about you. Screw em. Keep on scrapping and SAVE your money. Stay in school and SAVE your money. Before long you'll be able to buy a truck and trailer and make more money. Graduate get a job and keep saving. Don't spend your money on toys. Before long you'll be able to get your own place and do whatever the hell you want to.

Just treat others with respect and if they don't do the same ignore them. life's to short to be worrying about what others think.

Get used to it , people judge others to feel better about themselves . Temporary and foolish I know but that's the world we live in now a days . Sorry to hear about the problem , hope things clear up

It would help if you provided more details. Did you post this in school? If so, how did you by pass the school district filters?

Im confused here... Teachers dont judge anyone, everyone is the same; a student. My family is comprised of teachers so I know this for a fact. I could see a student making rude remarks, but a teacher? I think you're mistaken. As long as you try and work, you are just as equal as everyone else.

Im Independent at 17. I dont have the cash to buy nice clothes either, but i try everyday and I am friendly to everyone - thats what gets you through life. Teachers appreciate the work you put in, not the clothes or the wealth you have.

Regrettably this is not always true. I know most teachers try to be even handed but they are only human and, like all humans, some of them are idiots. I have seen teachers not only judge their students but also be downright rude and obnoxious to those they decide are less worthy.

Try and let it go. I know it is difficult, especially when we are feeling self conscious, but allowing them to get under your skin only serves to satisfy and encourage them to continue. Show them that are above them and their ignorance and it will make them feel insignificant. If they mess with your grades as retribution, file a complaint.

Some teachers are biased. I had a history teacher who was the worst bully in the school to me. And, I was bullied a lot.

To make the story short, I opened a business, bought an F-150, and transferred schools.

You'll get your revenge. The Academic Bowl was held at this school during my senior year. I studied day and night (While still running a business), and pretty much turned their team into my *******. Focus on what makes you happy, and everything will turn out.

    Now, remember:

    Hang in there dude.

Just keep working hard like you are now and one day you will be just as successful as you want to be, no matter what anybody thinks or what kind of clothes you wear. You have what it takes, I've seen it from your posts here.

Keep doing the right things, and always remember that the opinions of other people should never effect your opinions of yourself.

One of the best quotes ever from Rocky:

"But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody!"

Just keep your eyes on the prize. I went from the bullied victim in that school to Prom King in the next one. Once you're out of school, you'll meet new people who won't know about your past. At my second high school, nobody knew who I was, much less any issues. When you graduate, you'll get this fresh start.

People are strange creatures. I just ignore them, except when I'm getting paid. When you're in business for yourself, you learn to grow a thick skin. You'll overcome the attitude about appearances, clothing, cars, .... Trust me- clothing and cars don't matter. If somebody can't see you for who you are, they're not worthy of your time.

Do what makes you happy, and life won't be too bad.

Teaching for 34 years now. I personally appreciate hard workers like yourself. The kids I have a hard time with (but bite my lip) are kids who never try and blame everyone else for their shortcomings.
I should be more patient but I've been teaching long enough to see that the mold is tough to break once habits are formed in HS. Keep working hard, anyone who works legitemately gets my respect (for what it's worth)

Read up a little on Sam Walton, he went once to buy a brand new car and the salesman looked at his "farmer clothes" and decided that Sam could not possibly pay for it. Tried to steer him to a nice used one that he could afford. Sam left and went across town and bought his new car with cash. There's an old motto; "don't judge a book by it's cover".

I'm not really sure what to say.

One the one hand maybe it just is what it is.

On the other hand ..... if you're going through life with a chip on your shoulder it's gonna seem like everybody is against you.

I built a very successful truck sales career on this very thing.

Tulsa Oklahoma sirca 70/80 Doengers Brothers Ford:

While other sales man window shopped out the glass front at the slouch hat, muddy boot dirty, overhaul guy on the lot while mumbling He cant buy any thing, me, not knowing any better , went out to talk to them. In just a 3 year period I built the single largest sales record before or since. here is one short story.

20 year old drives old beat up dually on the lot looking at new ones. other sales men "he can't buy any thing" dumb me will waste my time with him. we pick a truck and go in to fill out the finance paper work. He doesn't want to do a credit app no matter how many times I tell him we have to. he keeps trying to hand ma a card. After some time I find out he cant read or write,(that's why he didn't want to do the app) I finally do the app for him. lives in mom and dads house, self employed as firewood cutter and seller. (firewood was not big in OK at the time) income, 6,000 per year. education, 6th grade. oops guess the other guys were probably right this time. take app to finance manager. he looks at it and tells me hes not even going to bother to fax it in. I convince him to bundle it. week goes buy no word, kid comes by and wants his new truck, I have to tell him the bad news. he says ok gives me another card and tells me to call this guy.

THE Guy is a banker. tells me this story, the kids parents were killed in a private plane crash, he inherited their 40+ oil wells. worth many millions. he cuts wood because as a child he was injured and as a result he is a little slow + he likes doing what he is doing. bankers words, give him any thing he wants up to $10,000 (1984 money) any time he wants it and, come get a check.

Hunter: For what it's worth I'm going to give you some advise based on reality, mine.

I can tell by your posts (from the beginning) you and school don't mix. Me neither, that said, stick it out and, get the most you can.

I have a very hi IQ (ability to learn) I could have been any thing I wanted, DR. lawyer, wall street, president, but I had a Psyco man/boy hater teacher in 5th grade that ruined my attitude towards school. soooo I quit at 14 and went to work. I'm still working at 71.

    It is totally unfair, but,

"it is not truth that counts but, the perception of truth that counts".

In other words, with out that piece of paper that society seems to prize above all called a Diploma You can make it but, you will also make it hard.
    .
" You are not responsible for what others think but your actions are."
I am very intelligent but also very ignorant. sit down and give it some long thought. mike. Some one who's been there
