    Are most of us insomniacs???

I'm guilty of it. I find myself breaking stuff down late at night. I see a bunch of post at 4am from others on here. Maybe a cooler to help? Just a question how many others are guilty of this?

    I sleep...3 maybe 4 hours if lucky.

The rest are just weird or on the west coast.

Sirscrapalot - The cooler is good for many things but not insomnia.

I can fall asleep whenever needed...but I am usually up at 4am. However can't scrap then or my wife would kill me if I woke her up.

I've been turning in at 7:30 PM and getting up at 3:30 A.M. lately. The time change along with fewer daylight hours is affecting me.

If it keeps up like this it will time to go into winter hibernation soon.

Yep. Pretty hard to go to sleep when I got copper to clean, radiators to prep, etc. I think about scrap so much I've even started dreaming about it when I finally do fall asleep. Pretty sure I'm not alone on that !

Yep I max out every single day between 6:15 AM to 11:30- I go hard and never lay awake thinking.. been doing it all day!

before I had a regular job use to do that but I don't have any days to crash now so I usually run from 6-12:00, might even stay up to 3-4 if need be, but don't recover from that as well as I once did so try to be done at 1:00 at the latest for my regular schedule.

They say "You learn something new every day"

So, if you are having trouble going to sleep, you probably didn't learn something new that day.

I always get a good sleep after reading scrapmetalforum........

Normally I wake up about 11am, dose the cat and feed it, make a coffee, do whatever, do scrapmetal depending for the rest of the day, then get to the supermarket before it shuts @ 9pm, buy some hot chips etc for tea, use free wifi to check out SMF till 11pm odd. Get home and clean some scrap up, watch dvd or read or such and go to bed.

Use to have it so bad, my neighbors thought I was a crackhead. (High stress job complete with nightmares) And then scrapping and the forum came along and everything changed. There's this strange "family" feeling to it all and it lulls me to sleep at night. I actually try to stay awake and think about everything I've learned, all the funny comments and what I'm going to destroy tomorrow but it's like counting sheep. By rights, I should still be having nightmares...especially about the 97 spiders that crawled out of the last weed eater I cracked open, but nope! Coma.

I tend to get tunnel vision for completing a task, which may cost me in being healthy and rested enough for more physical labor, like choosing when to pit in a race.
