    my bro's military retirement

My brother retired from a military career that started in 1973 and ended in Sept. (not totally consecutive). The National Guard honored him today during their monthly drill in the city next to me. Bro started off as a buck private and ended up a full Colonel (something that's probably a rarer thing nowadays). Long the way he was an enlisted anti-aircraft gunner, a helicopter pilot, and a physician. He served in trouble spots such as Central America in the mid-1980s, Iraq 2003/04, and Afghanistan 2010/2011. He was awarded the Legion of Merit medal today and he presented his wife with 41 roses for being a military spouse during that time. Thank you Colonel!

Thanks you all!! I knew he wouldn't blow his horn so I did it for him. He's sort of a honorary scrapper. The end of his tree strip is where the bulkier steel items gather until we have a truck & trailer (his) load to take in

I thank your brother for his service, and sacrifices he made during his career.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

I would love to help in this endeavor. Have truck, trailer, and all equipment to make it happen. No charge. Owe it to my father, retired military. Owe it to my father in law, diseased farmer. Owe it to the many that have served and protect our lifestyle. Okay, the truth is I have nothing better to do. Thank you for sharing. I will PM you.
