My scrapper chick (Awesome Wife) is at home in the garage scrapping the load of telecom equipment I brought home Tuesday. She has been a Domestic Engineer for almost 15 years now and has recently started helping me process everything I bring home. She told me it was like therapy to her.

Newattitude checks in quite a bit and then there's the urban legend, Dumpster Dee...we haven't heard from her in a couple of years though.

Hey admin: how about a "chicks of SMF" calendar? I only count 4 so far. Need at least 12.

I miss Dee, she was still active when I first joined.

Hope she's doing well...she was the queen of scrap, learned a lot from reading her posts.

I propose a scrapper chicks group so we can talk about stuff that the guys wouldn't be interested in such as what to wear when scrapping, scrap jewelry, Etc. it can also be used to encourage other female scrappers to stay on the boards, like a Sorority or some ****. Unify an stuff.

Hey!! I'm not a chick but I like scrap jewelry. Wear as little as you can, you'll have guys giving you stuff that they would not normally give away. I think Newattitude is the new dumsterdee.

If I could scrap a male I would lol. I'd get the most money per pound though for sure. Call around for the best prices and all that jazz.

*Luvs all the male scrappers here you know that right? Right??!!

@ Metal - lol! Only if its gold or silver boards, I'm too tomboy for real jewelry! My mom would go nuts over that stuff though!!!

Do we really? I'm finding it less than palpable.

Have mentioned making jewelry from escrap before. Also making jewelry from brass and steel gun cartridge cases.

But someone I know, the 'vegan anarcy muso, look like I just got a facefull of shrapnel' sorta guy.

Nice guy too, just got back from England and stopped to tel me that escrap jewelry is the 'big thing in fashion' at the moment.
Sorta a spinoff from steampunk (ah, I hate steampunk!! I admire it, but wouldn't touch it with a bargepole).

But since its newer than steampunk, its 'happening' at the moment. Very chic.

Basicly its anything escrap in a clear resin mold, or made from escrap.
Like the little clear eye chip from laser mouses, the image chip from oldschool video cameras and open windowed UV ROM chips.
Anything sparkly and or gold. Those image chips from video cameras are beautiful. Eqiption blue sensor chip woith gold wires on a gold background.

My 7 year old daughter wants to be included with your group. She's learned from a very young age that... and she can quote it... "Metal equals money, dad"... I just smile and get all teary eyed...lol
