    Beer

For those of age: unique beer or really good beer you would like to share with the class?

Domestic is ok when you have to buy in bulk for a party or something but for those who actually enjoy the taste, Im a beer snob so do you have a good import or microbrew that you enjoy? Something different for the beer snobs amongst us to try?

Stell Artois, arrogant bastard, sophie, matilda, are all good and this banana bread beer is actually enjoyable.

I agree with your taste, cept for Stella. Can't stand it personally.

The rest are all good though, I'll add more of my own in a bit.

Banana bread beer..just sounds awesome. Was reading a article last night about new one for zombie lovers...it's made with roasted goat brain...

I do like flying dog, an quite a few others. Most from the makers of AB are pretty tasty.

    My kind of thread.

I'm cheap and am always happy to drink Old Milwaukee Light, but when I want good beer I absolutely LOVE Summit Extra Pale Ale. It is brewed in St. Paul. I'm not sure if it is distributed much beyond the states bordering Minnesota.

OK, but its probably best to drink by the expiration date. It may actually grow into an actual loaf of bread in 3 years.

The Darker the better, but Guinness is gross. My favorite is Free State Oatmeal Stout but I don't think they distribute it much outside of Kansas, besides the KC metro. And Stella Artois tastes like nasty sugar water!

I love "good" beers, but they are way to expensive.

I was telling the cooler pullers last night, I had me some of the new Fortune by Miller, eh...decent for what it is, but mostly a stronger miller light, 6.9%. I like the good stuff like Russell posted earlier(Minus that hipster stella..bah), Arrogant Bastard, Rogue, have some down here that is similar, shipwrecked, an a couple others with pirate themes. Flying dog is a good one to, not to pricey but for me at lest, rare to find in bars an such. We had a bar that sold it, but they shut down.

I usually hit up Harris Teeter, their walk in cooler is pretty nice for a grocery chain. Lots of independent beers, an not so much the big ones. Also got a place called Chips Beer and Wine. Bout 4 aisles of craft beer. I like to go there when I splurge. Used to love me a good dark an heavy beer like Beck's but it's hard for me to drink now stuff of that nature. Tho I intend to try the new Beck Sapphire. Only thing I really stay away from is the sweet beers, like Red Apple, or funky flavors like strawberry an such, sweet doesn't agree with me all the time.

I'm not above getting a 30 pack of something cheap, an hitting the beach with cooler an friends. Sometimes cheap is good.

An yes..I keep all the cans.

Sirscrapalot - Has a wide variety of tastes when it comes to beer.

you know i will not save cans under any circumstance...my garbage woman seperates the recyclables from all the garbage she picks up and cashes them in so they are not being waisted ...the only way i will haul cans is if someone gives me a bunch of scrap and there are cans involved...

I am a beer snob! I raised a beer snob! My son told me "If you can buy it in a 30 pack it is not beer". We both make home brew and he made a batch of honey wheat beer around 11% that was to die for.
In Maine we have a 5 cent deposit on bottles. The local redemption center sells us the Grolsch swing top bottles for .20 each and we sell them in cases for almost $1.50 each on eBay.

All the better..I prefer my whiskey an tequila, you can keep the expensive beer.

Edit: With that being said, if any of you "beer snobs" are ever in my neck of the wood, I'll gladly drink your beer. lol. An yes I'll do a thirty pack, I got no shame. If it's cold, I'll enjoy it. Mind you I won't make a habit of it, but once in awhile, dropping 13 bucks for 30 beers is the right call for me an a large group. Ha ha!

Sirscrapalot - Enjoys his drinks, regardless.

Bluemoon Belgian white ale, nice on a hot summers day. Brooklyn lager, bluepoint brewery are a couple of the small locally brewed beers here. No beer snob here, if its cold, fresh and free you dont have to twist my arm to give it a shot. Had Stella a couple of times, thought it was pretty good.

Sam Adams is good beer. Did you know they support home brewing? That is why they do not use twist off bottles. A home brewer can buy a 12 pack then use the bottles for the home brew!

My beverage of choice and it should not come in a can if I'm drinking it! All hand crafted beers are of interest to me, yes I'm a beer snob. Sorry "Budwiper" your not even good for washing down a Dodger dog. I tried a beer called "SUDDEN DEATH", the english translation, It's a Belgium beer. Honestly it tasting bad, I was in Europe on a business trip and was tired of french wine. So I took an old fashion American "road trip" that turned into 1,000 bottles of beer on the wall (maybe I'll send pictures). Me and a friend toured five countries in six days trying every new beer we could find. I was never the same again and have refrained from any beer severed in a can since. I called it my beer "education adventure" and learned what I grew up on, was by definition not even beer!
