I'm hooked, the walking dead off topic

Alright, all I ever hear about from steve and Dustin is that walking dead show on amc. My cable company doesn't even offer it. I just kept on saying it can't be that good. Rewind to last Thursday, I'm in target and the first season on bluray is $10 so I say wth. I get home and start watching it, six episodes, I'm done about 3 in the morning. I watch it all again with my youngest daughter(she loves that crap and I don't guess it's no worse that the horror stuff I watched in the 80s) last weekend. Sunday night I go get the 2nd season, 16 episodes this time and I'm done with it by Thursday and I had training in little rock those three days(twt). You guessed it Thursday night I go get the 3rd season 5 disc set, get done with the 4th disc this afternoon and stick in the 5th and it's a d@mn bonus disc. I'm hooked worse than the ladies on those soaps. Funny it's in Atlanta GA and I'm headed there in the morning to work on cell phone towers. I'm not gonna tell any of the story in case someone wants to watch it but it's dang good.

expect the worst and hope for the best

Yea I caught some grief for getting caught in the marathon. I think I enjoy the idea of surviving under those conditions. I know zombies don't exist but...

Iv watched it every sunday from day one. Love love LOVE that show. Any "survival" or apocalyptic shows like that I love. The Talking Dead after show is great too.

I've never been a comic book reader, but I downloaded a sample off iTunes to my ipad, it's the 1st 79 pages and it's pretty good, looks like they have a regular book also, Ive got a lot of books downloaded already for my trip, but I'll probably get the book when I get those read

Yea the comics for WD are crazy popular. I do enjoy the show but unlike the rest of you I don't watch it live. I watch it soon as it's on my super secret site tho cause..one, it's free. an two, they have all the new episodes up by midnight, an I don't have to deal with commercials. lol.

We don't pay for our tv at my house. Cable co. sucks an only other choice is satellite much easier to pay my 8 bucks to netflix an use my free site.

Glad ya found something to keep ya entertained Cory. You should look into a Kindle if you don't already have some kind of tablet. I love it more then a laptop, an I can get show straight from amazon with no issue. I am a amazon prime member tho, so it's all free for me, lest so far. heh. Best 80 bucks I spend for a year, free shipping, lots of free ebooks, an tons of movies an tv shows with no other kind of payment then the yearly fee.

Its the one thing I splurge on for myself, besides the cooler.

Stay safe Cory, an when your in Atlanta..your not but a few hours from my sandbar..ok, more like..12..but whatever!

Sirscrapalot - Off to watch some neglected shows.

I passed by it so many times on netflix thinking i wont like it. forced myself to watch it and got hooked by the 2nd episode.
Watched the first 3 seasons on netflix & waiting for the 4th. Every episode i wonder who will lose their humanity. I heard the 4th season is crazy. Makes me want to pay extra to get it now, but im cheap.

    Indeed he is Red.

I'm eagerly awaiting season 4, I think it is coming up. AMC is just kicking ass the last few years with good shows.

I am really behind the times, but wife and I just finished watching Dexter from start to finish. Character and plot development as good as any novel I've ever read - a classic tragedy. Love the Walking Dead, but the weekly intervals between episodes (worse during midseason and summer breaks) kind of kills the momentum. Still a great series.

I first read about Walking dead in a magazine month before the first episode was aired and was hooked right there and then. But then again i have always been a zombie addict. As it was i forgot it was on last ngiht till my son called me while i was shopping and next thing you know im racing through the store and racing home to catch it. I missed the start by 20 minutes but my wife recorded it and actually waited till i got home to watch it with me instead of having to rewind.

Definitely an addicting show and well worth the wait in between seasons. i hope they keep it going for a long time

I do like these "end of the world as we know it" storylines, but what really impresses me about TWD is the fabulous depth of the characters. Lots of stuff going on with almost everyone.
