I watched some Youtube videos about a scrapper in Australia and like no one scraps in this guys part. It was an open dump with a mouthwatering amount of steel. There were also a few cars dumped.

I think they are just trying to catch up with the rest of the world. 20 years ago, if you can believe it, I remember finding about 40 Aluminum windows that someone dumped in the woods- they were like tires back then- You'll almost NEVER find a score like that again in the US today!

Believe it or not, I've seen the time I had to PAY someone to haul a junk car away. Seems like I remember paying around $50.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Yeah one of my best scores was down across the main road from my house. It was the first street of our run. It was a ginormous pile of aluminum siding and corrugated aluminum. A bunch of guys standing around reduing the roof. We drive by slowly but keep driving then we hear them "wait!, wait!" you can have all that. It was like 3 truckloads of aluminum and this was back in like '05

Ahhh.... refreshing. We need to start a new thread.. something like "The Scrapping Good Ol Days"
It was a time of finding things we now need to fight for
Things people would Pay to get rid of.. now we have to pay to get them/it

Heck the most recent has to be the e-waste boom. I remember people were so willing to get an out of date paperweight out of their way.. now people think that computers have gold bars inside them.. I still get a few but it sure isn't like it used to be.. on many "scrapable" items!

Yep, I remember on garbage nights by me you used to fill a truck and if you were lucky you would have to make a drop off at home. Now you got me thinking of making a new thread

I remember walking under a massive train bridge ans came across a huge pile of smashed computers. Kids would throw them off and watch em go SPLAT. If only i knew about e waste then. Coulda cleaned up the trails and made some cash! Ugghh..
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Nothing we can really do to help you get em for free.... Its just luck. I have yet to get a complete free car, and iv been at this over 2 years. Theres no trick to getting free stuff. And You cant force or talk people into hading over a car for free. It all depends on what they wanna do. I mean you can try and tell them the costs to dispose of cars, time, etc. But people arent dumb these days. Good luck

    1.
    extremely large.
    "ginormous piles of rubbish"

I am learning a new word everyday on this forum.

    Thanks

PS. As a free car goes , it is not impossible, so is hitting the lottery numbers.

I'd LOVE to see a HQ stationwagon thats two cars wide & two cars long.

You could fit six wide in the front seat & six in the back (with two on top...) another six behind that & full the rear with emptys. (or a Boot boy or two)

We have a Bogantown in NZ called 'Gore'. "Its the arse-hole of the world" Quoted Mick Jagger. Theres two sorts of people there, 'Gorons' & 'Gorks'

'Gorons' mostly work on cow farms pulling tits & drive 70's & 80's cars up & down the main street while getting drunk & yelling & grunting at people.

    The 'Gorks' watch them.

When you get that monster car built, I think I can safely say...we'd all like a pic of it.

An Kiwi...thats the last time I follow your links. Funny as hell, an it made me accidentally kick my dog who was at my feet while I was laughing.

Sirscrapalot - Chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven, is ALMOST better then a frosty beverage straight out the cooler.
