    My NuCool mini fridge busted

No more cold beers in garage Anyone have any tips for fixing this fridge? I feel fans blowing air but not cold. Stuff at bottom feels colder. Just asking before I scrap it.

    Thanks

RIP poor little fridge, we hardly got to know you.

Warm beer is an evil thing, I suggest you quickly go out and get a new fridge/cooler before a greater tragedy occurs and all your beer goes warm.

This message brought to you by FDLFDWB. (Friends don't let friends drink warm beer) An the number 12.

A mini frig with fans? Have you taken the back off to see if it has a compressor or large aluminum heat sinks?

You can try cleaning all the dust that has accumulated around the coil so that it can breath again.

Got mine fixed! : ) (with a little help from google ; ) It seemed like the compressor wasn't running and I came up with this in search results Refrigerator not cooling, fan working, compressor hot but not running - Appliance Repair Forum 1st answer (2nd post) gives some tips and links to diagram Unit parts for Whirlpool ER8MHMXML02 - AppliancePartsPros.com parts numbers 8 and 13. I was in a hurry, hek the ice cream had already turned to mush and dark was rapidly approaching , so I overstepped the multimeter checks and went straight to a whirlpool compressor in the save for rainy day stack, and got the relay and overload switches, the relay was all that fit so it got installed. I plugged it up and went looking at other compressors for other relays, but when I got back inside, after feeding the cat, dog, and ducks ; ) when I opened the freezer door there was COLLLLD air inside ; ) : )

(that relay switch alone would have cost $40 ; )

♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ Oh, Happy Day! ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ Haha! Thanks Copycat! : ) Got me thinking, maybe I can do something about this thing. Been wondering what to do about the situation several days, tinkering with placing a small fan to blow cool air into the mix etc, watching it all get worser by the day, then by the hour, then find the ice cream was mush, woah!
A few looks at this thread, ten minutes on Google, a screwdriver(was all any of it took to remove/replace), and a switch off another old compressor, and an hour later I already have ICE! : D

    Bear,
Didn't get to it yet. I believe I got non-compressor type. Looks like an easy fix by watching the youtube video. If this works I'm gonna look for these types of things in the trash. Looks like that thermochip is cheap on ebay. Could make some money repairing these and reselling. I didn't know my fridge used a cooling chip instead coolant. I bet alot people don't know this either and throw their minfridges in the trash. Glad your fridge is working. Too bad you guys aren't here I'd give you beer
