Two explosions near end of boston marathon. Unknown details right now. Looks like a nasty bloody scene from the helicopter pictures. Two explosions twenty seconds apart. Set one off wait for help to come and set off second...when are we going to learn.

My girlfriend is in boston visiting family. When I heard about the explosion and tried calling to see if she ok and then couldnt get thru. 10 minuts I spent darn near in a panic diorder mode fearing the worst and thank god she text back they were far enough away from it but man was I scared. My heart and prayers goes out by all those affected this is a terrible thing to happen and whoever is responsible for this I can promise you this where youre going youre gonna wish for a cold glass of water!.

Excuse me for the non pc comment...its just that after watching 2000 plus innocent people and 23 co-workers incinerated a few years back I get a bit cranky when this happens. Home grown, foreign grown whatever we all know the birth place of terrorism. This is the last I will comment on this topic. Feel free to pm me if you wish to discuss this further.

I'm concerned, certainly for the victims and their families, but also for what it might mean to the country going forward. I truly hope the culprit is determined to be one of the subset alluded to by the OP, and not, as I fear it will be, by a disgruntled American citizen.
With this happening on tax day, I can't help but believe it will end up being tied to the Tea Party, and if there were ever a movement that's gotten a bad rap in public opinion, they're it.
If this is determined to be the work of a domestic terrorist with some twisted idea that this is how you go about making a patriotic statement, that could spell the end of the Tea Party & set back all libertarian leaning movements perhaps irrevocably.

This is a scrap metal forum so I don't want to lose sight of this and get wrapped up in politics. Lets just keep in mind that most of use haven't met each other in real life so it's important to be especially respectful when it comes to peoples nationalities considering for all we know our good friends on here could be part of the group that we have offended.
Business and politics don't mix so i'll let it rest with this!

My thoughts exactly - add in the fact that the bombs were IEDs and I wonder if it wasn't someone who'd been in Iraq or Afghanistan- maybe even lost a limb there - since he targeted runners.
