Saw my boys live last night. An while it wasn't the original group...I'm proud to say I attended an had a helluva good time.

The band in question is of course Lynyrd Skynyrd. Opening act was Aaron Lewis from Staind and he it seems he's gone full country...interesting is the word I'd describe his set. Not over familiar with his work post Staind. Second up was...Hank Williams Jr. Hank does a good live show thats for sure. An of course the headliner was Skynyrd. An it was **** awesome show. May not have been Ronnie singing, or the original crew, but Johnny Van Zandt did just fine, an the band kicked ass.

Some of the songs we got to hear..

Aaron Lewis - It's been awhile (from his Staind days), Country Boy I think was the name of the only other one I can recall. As I said above...he's not someone I'm overly familiar with.

Hank Jr. - Family Tradition of course, Country Boy Can Survive, A beer in my tear(Hank sr.) I think he also did Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound(another personal favorite...lol), Cheating Hear(Hank Sr cover again), All my Rowdy Friends are coming over tonight, cover of of something by Aerosmith I can't remember right now, but it was instrumental only, All my rowdy friends (have settled down), Ready for some Country, an a bunch of others including a 10 minute set where just did various hits an combined it all together.

Skynyrd - Gimmie Three Steps, Saturday Night Special, That Smell, Working for MCA, Sweet freaking Home Alabama, SIMPLE MAN, and FREE BIRD. Both are two my most loved songs..if not straight up my favorite of all time, and Call Me the Breeze.

Freaking **** good show an well worth the money for the tickets. I could've done without Aaron Lewis but seeing Hank Jr, and Skynyrd live more then made up for it, an now I can check off seeing not just two bands, but one that is pretty much my favorite(Skynyrd), an one I've always wanted to see(Hank Jr.). They all put on a good show an a good time was had by all.

    Good times, good times.

So once again...a **** good effing show.

I love it when I can knock things that are important to me off my bucket list. LOL. @Auminer Up next is Blackberry. Ha!

Oh, almost forgot...one of the best parts of the show was right before Skynyrd came out, they played Thunderstruck by AC/DC. Got the crowd all fired up.
