    Leverite

Has anyone found any lerverite lately? It's usually found in the woods, or at the far edge of a large field.

The name leverite (or leaverite) is a humorous term used by collectors for a plain ordinary rock that has no intrinsic value. why would you want this?

No but I did go snipe hunting last night. My grandfather said one had been getting in his shed and wanted me to kill it.

DO NOT REMOVE THE LEVERITE!!!! under it is the only known home of the very very rare Smoo. since Little Abner died in bed of a heart atack from over exertion and Daisey may went to live at the Chicken Ranch they are all dieing off from neglect and broken hearts.

'Leverite' is closely related to the less rare 'optimite'. 'Optimite' can usually be found in the twenty or so buckets every prospector has sitting in the corner of his hooch, just waiting for the day he finds his mis-placed 'roundtuits'.

Leverite is tough to refine if you don't have a left handed firestarter. Even if you do watch out for the residual lumpuck that is a byproduct after refining.

Leverite is used by native american tribs/clans in making jewlerey and such. I have a website in my faverites if you are wanting to buy some for crafts and such. I have seen arrow heads knatched from it. Or whats ever that fancy word is. But if you would like the link send me a pm I will send it back to you.

Leverite can be very difficult to move and may require special equipment.

Ok all the short less then polite examples kinda confused me lol. However my wife and I make items from time to time for sale at the powows. Which is a native american get together. And we use it to make neclaces and such. In some tribs its is believed to have healing powers in others it is to represent stature. It is a cultural thing. Rare around here to just find it in a field tho. The correct spelling is Labradorite. That is provided its the same stone you were asking about . If not sorry.

LOL, hope we didnt offend you too much. Leverite is a geological term for a worthless stone. "leave er right there" sometimes it means "leave er right there, its not worth the effeort to remove it" like a fridge 1/2 mile into the woods
