    Highest Dump Fee

Since several members have done threads asking similar questions, but on different subjects, I thought I do one.

From the time you started, to today, what is the most you have spent on a dump fee to offload junk?

Mine, was today. I spent $136 to offload 4,500lbs of junk. Funny thing is, I am surprised I didn't break my trailer as it is supposed to only hold 3,500 but held the additional 1,000 with no problem. Not like I will try that every day though.

George, I looked endlessly around my area for a dump. Chicago area has closed almost all of its dumps and has to ship out of state. I found one site, they charge 68$ a ton; so this seems to be right in line with what you're paying. How do you find your dump sites? There are about 50 different junk removal companies in this area, so they have to be dumping somewhere.

Cheam Indian Band runs a commercial Landfill site with much better tipping fees than the big name companies. Google one near your location.

Or make a telephone call to the nearest Dept of Indian Affairs.

I've already tried that. Thanks though. It's mainly transfer stations around here, not open to the public.
I suppose you would have to be a business and have an account around here.

That is odd. We have a few here, and to my current knowledge, they are open to the public but EXPENSIVE!

    demo waste

It was about 10 ton of brick and horse hair plaster and other stuff. I was in Boston and there was only one yard that took demo in the city and they charge 130 a ton but had no choice needed to dump so I could finish that day they were more than double my regular place

russel check with your garbage pickups. we have groot and get to put out one large extra item a week. so i tape a whole bunch of stuff together and make a go of it. the first time the guy started to crack up, now he is just used to it. i also have a few contractor friends that let me use their dumpster for slightly larger stuff. otherwise just call wasteman agement and have them drop off a dumpster.

I was thinking more along the lines of a dump, so I can offer clean out services, eventually. For now I have no problem disposing, my town pays for garbage removal, the g men will take up to a cu yard. I also have access to a compactor at work. I'm thinkn more into the future. I think you're right,Ben. I'm down to calling the garbage co and asking them.
