Scrapping Domain Names

Hi All,
I am a fellow scrapper and I am trying to build a website to advertise my metal pick up service and I have 3 domain names that I bought to hold so I can do some brain storming.

They are:
RemoveMyMetal.com
ScrapMetalKings.com
TheMetalKings.com

I have a few others but I am not sure which I would like to use it.
I will sell any of these for $10 each (working man's price), just paid $12 from godaddy.

If you go to http://www.weebly.com/ you can get a free domain service and FREE DOMAIN NAME. Thats right. A free domain name. I know that doesn't help you much because you already bought them, but I just thought I would throw that advertisement out there because its amazing to me that it's possible.

However, will it have the .weebly.com at the end of the domain name?

Hey I just tried registering a domain name and they try to charge me 39.95.
I think the free ones are the yourname.weebly.com

which I prefer not to have a sub-domain of another website. Looks corny to me.

There are many free sites, some better than others that offer a sub domain. Having experience with both paid and free hosting I guess I would look at your actual needs. For many of us just starting it is just fine to have the sub domain for the rest of us, shop around and see what you find. The biggest thing is that you need to do what is right for you.

That is my host. I used many free ones and although they have dropped fantasico installer unless you upgrade to paid, they are reliable. The customer service is difficult to deal with at times because they can be hard to reach. They have never had down time in the past 5 years I used them, and they are very feature rich for not paying anything. There is good and bad with every host and as far as free hosts go this is the one I would recommend.

Some people make good money buy claiming cool domain names, then selling them. just have to know what ones to get and who will buy them lol.

you might want to try something like "mycounty"scrapremoval , or something valley, basically something that will show up when they search for your area.

Webbly has subdomains...ie they are CRAP for ranking. To rank you need your own domain and that will vost you about $8 at godaddy with a coupon.

Then you can help tour ranking by useing keywords in the domain like removescrapmetal <your city> bevause that is how people search...then there are seo tactics to rank. Suffive to say it os involved so m9re that this thread to covrr...but that will get you started....so not necessarily you company name but keyword rich domain is the best way to go.

so as i understand it the internet is about full and the "new" internet is not compatible.
so what happens to domain names??

The long and short of it is, IPV4 is not forward compatible to IPV6, however IPV6 is Backwards compatible to IPV4.

Instead of messing with current standards of .com, .net, .org and others we are familiar with, they have instead slowly been adding new "top level" extensions. They have been creating extensions that are specific and oriented to a business type or purpose. There have been over a dozen new domain extensions added now.
