    Learned this the hard way but simple yes/no answers and being polite goes a long way with 99% of law enforcement officers. Been pulled over or questioned when dropping a trailer off at my yard several times, a few times I have to admit I had it coming, but anyway being chill with the cop has saved me many tickets and a lot of a harassment by just being nice to them. Probadly got out of tickets I really deserved. Cops are people too, if you cross them they are going to remember it just like you would. If you go easy on them it'll pay you back greatly. Heck even made a connection with one of them now for scrap and have sold car parts to.

    Here's a oldie that is a interesting read. Many put their passions into writing the posts and not many have been around here in the last few years.

    I suppose they are off doing other things they are passionate about as you either have the scrapper in you or you don't. Much like singing, dancing and such, some can sing and or dance and most others just try and believe they can make it if they find the secret path or create a plan on how to catch a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow. Basically spending their time and thoughts on trying to figure out how to make a magic wand and not putting the proper thought into the probable odds that can be known about their plan.

    It might take you awhile to read this thread, but it is a very interesting look back at how people were acting and communicating back then.

    a form of time travel........
