Drag the wife and two dogs up to the beach for some fun in the sun. Fire up the ol'grill when we get back while enjoying a frosty beverage from my sidekick the traveling cooler. Then up the wife's hotel to watch fireworks over the ocean from one of the rooms on the top floor. My sandbar is rather strict on personal fireworks, an for good reason, very dry. So we're cheating. lol.

Anyhow, hope everyone has a good 4th no matter what you decide to do. Remember to not blow your hands/fingers up. Scrapping a computer, car, tv, etc. could be kinda annoying if you gotta just use your toes.

    Sirscrapalot - wishing everyone a happy 4th.

Going to get kids in the pool for a bit and then head over to my brothers for a small BBQ and see my new niece who was born last week. First time the kids are going to get to hold her so it should be a blast. Then it's off to the midnight shift for me, which means no cold ones for Dad but I can always make up for it on the weekend.

same plans as i had on the 3rd, and the 2nd, and the 1st. Tinker around the house, yard, and garden for awhile, and eventually wind up playing in the scrap pile out by the barn. Might walk down the road a ways to see across the fields near dark, or drive over to the back pasture, and get a glimpse of the fireworks towards town

Sorting scrap, got the cab off the frame on one of my old Ford trucks, have a 24oz T-bone I plan on grilling. Then back to sorting scrap. It's my only day off this week so I need to maximize the potential!

My day consisted of driving 30 miles away to look at a couple of pallets of computers, bought one pallet, put a bid in on the other one (half of them are empty) brought half home and the other half I go pick up Saturday. Right after that I finished up at dialysis, happy 4th everyone.

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

I worked. Then crapped out at a Texas Hold'em Tourny. Then had the grandson cower in his bedroom while we lit off some relatively mild fireworks in the front yard.

The only fireworks up here is if they (the towns) can shoot them off over water/ lake/river. Other than that way too dry up here, you can buy them, just can't shoot them.

Just heard on the news that 2 guys set fire to their neighbors yard, and got arrested for shooting stuff off, misdemeanor offense.

they banned them here also .other than the show the county puts on ....but we overcame 15 kids 10 adults and about $50 worth of glow sticks and we cracked them all and through them back and forth to each other across the yard, it was neat to see a barrage of green, red, white, blue glows sticks being thrown into the blackness. not only did the they look like fireworks, nobody got burned
