    Refrigerant recycling prices

Just FYI I posted this in the refrigerant recovery forum as well if you want to just post there and have access.

So, for a long time I've just been borrowing a recovery machine and tanks from a friend and I just give him the refrigerant I recover...not so much a big part of what I do so I didn't care really. I finally ponied up the money and got me some brand new equipment.

I have started getting a lot more air conditioners lately, and have basically an unlimited supply of refrigerators if I wanted them. Around here, scrap yards don't pay but maybe a buck or two a ton unless they are evacuated and the compressor removed. I pulled my first 20 pounds of R-22 out of some a/c's today.

Anyway, I read freonjoe's recent thread about R-22, and saw he got $7 a pound for it. What are you all getting for other refrigerants?

    R-134a
    R-12
    R-10
    R-410a

That's what I have run into so far. Feel free to add others if you want.

    Thanks!
