    Rhodium 8900.00 0.0

What if each cat contained 1 or two grams rhodium.

Platinum is worth $32.06 a gram
Palladium is worth $73.70 a gram
Rhodium is worth $287.096 a gram

    Platinum 1012.00 +14.00
    Palladium 2364.00 +78.00
    Rhodium 9000.00 +10

Platinum is worth $32.64 a gram
Palladium is worth $76.25 a gram
Rhodium is worth $290.32 a gram

Rhodium recovered from the eight foils, 4.34 grams, valued at $1259.98
Palladium recovered from the eight foils 12.56 grams valued at $957.70
Platinum recovered from the eight foils 2.46 grams valued a $80.29

    Eight foils total value $2297.97

I'm almost positive that a refinery better equipped than I, would have been able to recover much more of the values.

Catalytic foils as you all know the precious metals is only a wash coat on the surface of the foil. To recover the wash coat all that's required is to disturb the surface area by bending it.

I press the foil into an egg shape, then turn the foil and repeat the process, then gently tap the side the foil and the powder falls out, to be sure you have it all rinse the foil in water.

If you look at the aluminum sheet I've placed under the foil you can see that the precious metals power has already spilled from the insides.

Some of the foil is going to break loose, just use a weak magnet to remove any magnetic junk this will go a long way to improving the quality of the powder.

Once you have accumulated a few hundred grams of powder send it direct to a refinery that works with the platinum group.

Wear a dust mask, gloves and eye protection.
