    toolbox

i stated in kzs post about appliances you could use refrigerators or freezers for storage. we do most of our work outside so we keep our corded tools in here, all the cordless tools are either in the trucks, house or the storage container. anyway $5 for a fridge or freezer is a pretty good investment

    That's a good idea.

On a semi related note, I have been using chest freezers for scrap bins. I cut the lid off and set it on a pallet.

Before I had proper climate control in my wood shop I had a lot of trouble with rust. A lot of my hand tools are very expensive, and very hard or impractical to protect with other methods. I used a big upright freezer with a 40 watt bulb on all the time to keep it warm and dry. Worked great. My dad used a small fridge with a 100 watt bulb to keep his welding rods dry.

If you use your refridgerator as a toolbox, you might be a redneck

One of those dehumidifier tubes for a gun cabinet would work and might be cheaper to run.

My grandfather used an old chest freezer for horse feed storage, kept the critters out of it.
