when selling these keyboards on ebay remove a key and take pictures of the action. Alot of buyers wants this.

This thread inspired me, and I went and found an old clicky keyboard for $2.50 at Goodwill. I picked up a 5-pin converter on amazon and BOOM. I'm a clicking away as I write.

I'm wondering if I should pick up the others they have and re-sell em.

If there are any IBM or Mac/Apple definitely. Don't get me wrong, other mechanical keyboards will sell too, but are not as sought after. Unless they are the "space saver" type with no number pad on the side. I still have an IBM model M in the basement I need to clean up and sell, so if it were me Jilly, I would pick them up in a heartbeat.

Thanks, Dude. I'll look and see if any are IMB or Apple, and buy them if they are. The one I'm using is Microsoft - I suppose those aren't as in demand, then.

I'm really liking the feel of these clicky keys. My old keyboard was progressively dying on me, and it's only a few years old. I'll keep it for a while as a backup, but eventually salvage the goodies from it.

I expect this one to last forever.

the simplest way to determine a "clicky" k'board?? found an old pin NMB Tech. Im curious about. Says for Win. 95. same tower came with a mouse w/ a 9 pin plug similar to yer monitor plug, but reversed. All the tower says on it is "WAVE Micro Technology" 4 8 6. It boots to setup screen.

Since I scored that Dolch PAC 65 (thread in the vintage section), I've been doing some reading on the old keyboards.

They're actually called mechanical keyboards and there's a big revival around them. They've actually started manufacturing new mechanical keyboards and they're pricey as hell.

As far as I can tell, people are in love with both the mechanics behind it and the "caps" or keys themselves. On that Dolch that I picked up, I've found that they're wanted more for the keyboards than they are the actually computers.

Ebay would likely be the best place to sell them. Just do your research to figure out what they're going for.

thanks justin yup, I listed it n the mouse both on fleabay. that model 'has' recently sold fer $50+.
