What to do with an LCD screen glass?

Just scrapped a 50" LCD TV that I tried to fix but could not. Now I am trying to figure out what to do with the big screen glass. I doubt it makes much sense to try selling it as a part, simply because it's very big and heavy so even if someone buys it, shipping it will be too expensive. Probably can't use it as a table cover either since it's not strong enough. Any other options besides sending it to the landfill?

I got a huge sony flat screen, I've been trying to fix but I can't find any use ful info to do so!

When I turn it on, the screen stays black, but it has white dots/lines that run down one side kind of like rain. Any one able to recommend a good fix to id the problem an see if there is a solution? I'd hate to scrap this thing if it's fixable.

Sirscrapalot - Breaks things, doesn't usually fix them.
