    Craigslist find

Normally nothing posted on Craigslist is anywhere remotely near me, but this popped on the free section last night and I recognized the zip, so I recuited a helper and went to get it.

Sanyo 50" Plasma. Had a bad storm through here a couple of days back and I guess it stopped working.

It powers on, but the screen stays black, than after about 30 seconds it powers off. Going to pull the back off later today and check the fuses/take a look at the caps.

Had the exact same TV. The exact same thing you describe is wrong with is, happned to mine. Caps were fine, it needed a new motherboard. At the time, 3-4 years ago, it was about $400. Needless to say that TV was scrapped
