    Power tool batteries

    The batteries in cordless power tools nickel cadmium, do they have any recycle value"? Or right into the shred. Tried to search and couldn't find it.....

    ozzy, someone posted a u-tube site that showed how to recharge those with jumper cables. Maybe one of our computer geniuses could find that link for you.

    Yeah I seen those videos mrs dee. These batteries probably good, but it was a cheap chinese knock off tool. The charger was dead, so I scrapped the set for the motors. ANd broke the batteries apart for the nickel batteries. Now need to know if they can be sold or what.

    I haven't ever found a market for them, however a local Interstate Battery Store that also buys recyclables has tote after tote after tote of them me thinks they know how to market them but they never are willing to pay me any thing for them.What do you all think?

    There is a market for them...I currently purchase the Ni-Cd for .30/lb and the Ni-MH for .35/lb. Li-Ion bring .90/lb.
