200 feet of aluminum wire and 1000 feet of new 3 wire 14 guage???

200 feet of aluminum wire and 1000 feet of new 3 wire 14 guage??? What the best way to scrap it? I stripped some of the aluminum wire Not sure what the guage is but super thick. I didnt get crap for it??? am I better off leaving the wire with the plastic on it???
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I bet anything that you'd get more selling it on Craiglist. Look at the numbers/info on the jacket, look it up and set your price from there.

I had it on craigslist, With a bunch of other thing. That site is a joke nothing but tire kickers. ebay is a rip off. Im taking it to the scrapyard tomorrow morning. Thanks for your reply

if you have the time, strip it... at my yard, I get 15-20 cents more per pound with clean aluminum wire... however, keep in mind, some alum wire has a steel center strand for strength, which means, you need to unwind it and get the core out....I have a wire stripper, so no big deal to strip it... but I cut it into about 2 or 3 foot lengths and unwind and remove steel core... I usually save it for a while tho until I have a small one of those small 20 gallon drums full

Everyone thinks your getting more for your wire if you strip it...not true in some cases because you are losing the weight of the insulation and then you have to dispose of it.If you figure in that and what your time is worth you may lose money..so next time figure out what percentage your wire was after and before vs price.

I agree with CL being full of tire kickers, as well as jokers, dreamers and flakes. But every once in awhile I hit pay dirt. Oddly enough it's usually out of state people who are giving me tons of cash. Locals drag their knuckles and piss and moan.
