Favorite item to scrap for 2014?

Mine would be AC adapters. I love them! I figured out an enjoyable & relatively easy way to slide the plates off the transformers. Filled up a bucket of the bright wire really quick. Plus a bit of brass plug ends & insulated wire too.

i love the big old heavy stuff,,,,good ole farm equipment is the best, all steel , requires no breaking down ...just back up to it,,,and start jacking, winching dragging pushing, or pulling ...or what ever else you gota do to get it on the trailer...throw a chain or 2 on it and drive away........

ive been getting some industrial sized resturaunt coolers, they have the compressors removed but they still weigh in around 500 pounds,,,,,if this deal works out it will be a big money maker,,,,they have a whole warehouse full of old electronics,,,credit card machines, cash registers, monitors , towers and business type phones......they are just waiting on an approval from some higher ups and it should be mine....i did mess up a bit though......there old guy charged them to haul off stuff, when i told them id even take the printers and crts for free they were amazed.....ill update you all if i get any mor info

If I could do one thing everyday all day it would be hard drives . But I'm not that lucky so I will say computers and servers lead the pack with wire and brass coming in 2nd . I like the wire and brass because of the low prep time . I'm partial to stainless steel too but I don't discriminate if it's metal I have a place for it.

Anything non-ferrous that needs a skid loader to load it on the trailer. In reality non ferrous is collected throughout the year and in the winter it is sorted and put in gay lords (fertilizer tubs) and in the spring it provides a good payday. Gives a whole new meaning to spring fever. After a long dry winter, it is a scrappers spring break.

I would have to say appliances. I have gotten a lot of them lately and they are quick cash. Fill up a truck with 5 appliances and get $75 for 30 minutes of work. I also like side by side fridges. I turned in just one and made $30 for just dropping it off, didn't even cut the cord.

    Grills an computer towers.

I seem to always get grills. lol. Went to the sound today instead of the ocean due to red flags up. Me, the wife, sister in law, an the niece. Pulling in to go down the street to the access parking lot..big ol propane grill, stainless just sitting on the curb. Figured if it was still there when we were done I'd grab it.

It was still there. It's going to be scrapped to far gone to save, but I'm still happy.

Oh an beach chairs, an beach umbrellas. One of my favorites during the summer. I picked up 25 of them last week by just going up to the beach an playing in the water with the niece. We'd leave an there'd be 2 or three sitting next to a trash can.

I ain't complaining..specially as out of the 25 all were alum cept 2.

So..grills, computer towers, an beach chairs!

Cars. Just like every year before '14. Easy to load and unload and sometimes will make a good demo car to boot.

Well I must say Paychecks are the best their easy to open and cash is instant after a short drive. I even get paid for the envelope it comes in.

Not really scrapping when I do this, but I do like jumping up and down on gaylords of CRT boards so I can fit more in.
