Look at any of them with a scanner and/or fax or have the lil memory card slots, those are the ones to break down for the better boards.

I'd rather take them to staples and get $2 if this is the case. I bought paper towels and other stuff the other day with recycled ink. I got a box going to ewasted and I ran out of packing tape time to go to staples tomorrow using my recycled ink money.

Well it looks like they changed their toon. It used to be free shipping on either $20 worth or 20 items.

So, I got a call earlier today, and was unable to answer it. Gentlemen left me a voicemail, and I called back, and now waiting for his return phone call.
Anyways, he left me a voice mail, and I listened to it at least 10 times to ensure I heard it correctly.
He is wanting to dispose of 21 SKIDS of electronics!!!
So I FINALLY get a hold of the guy. Come to find out, it is NOT computers or servers BUT **** printers and fax machines and roughly 16 or so of them from what he said.
That's why you'll see posting from me on what I bagged, after the fact. It's too easy for someone to blow smoke up your skirt, (BS) we had a person that wanted us to broker a deal with a scrapyard for close to a ton of copper wire- large gauge, with no paperwork involved. How big of a red flag do you need there?? lol We ran (not walked) away from that deal. Good luck George.

Well my wife and I discussed it, and for what I have to burn in fuel, my time, etc, etc, it just isnt worth it to us. I mean if it was PCs, hell yeah, but printers? not really.

I had to walk away from a large deal, but I have to keep things profitable for both sides.

So it went from 21 skids of electronics to 16 printers? Or 16 skids of printers?

    16 skids of printers.

Apparently they deal in printers of all kinds. Not sure if they are a distributor or whatever, but after researching the name, that is what I came up with.

Geez, easy peasy, haul them straigh to the steel yard for shred. I would never have passed on that deal. At the least you are looking at an honest days pay or an honest days work. At the least. Unless they were asking for money for the load.

I hate to say George this was a great deal.......You might want to stay away from escrap if you are going to pass on stuff like this

The guy wants them removed for FREE. Doesnt want to pay anything for disposal. I called my yard, and they will not accept them, as they told me they are over 50% plastic. I called my local escrap place, and they will only pay $0.01/lb so if this was hopefully say 5,000lbs of product, that is only $50. Like I said, with guys, wear and tear, not worth it. I would be out of money.

I know there is money in the cartridges and boards, but if no one is going to pay decent prices for the printer, you wont make any money.

I make money at escrap, but this area around here, is not like the areas where you and everyone else are at. I have to deal with what is here locally. Like I said above, scrap yard wont touch them, and the local escrap guys are paying a PENNY a lb and this guy wants it done for FREE. Not worth it.

I would do, but I cant when it is just printers.

They wanted it gone for free, but as I explained above, no money in this deal.

That is true for the most part. However, with what I be paying in fuel, and trying to find a place to house 16 pallets to do all of that, for me personally, just not worth it.

One good whack with a big hammer and the plastic is off and ready to put in your recycle bin. May take some time to get it all gone in your weekly recycle pickup, but from there, fill up with shred.

agreed, pull the cartridges then proceed with the sledge, id think there is a decent amount of mid grade boards and copper wire in these from the few that ive done, you could probably resell some of the better ones
