Hey all, I was away again on another hiatus, partially due to the fact that scrap prices
were so low that I was doing it very infrequently. In any event I recently moved this past fall to Tampa Bay from Long Island (where I was at the last time I posted here) and was curious as to how state law in FL deals with the sale of scrap metal
. I know in NY ID was required and the license plates of all vehicles coming in and out of the yards were recorded to make tracing potentially stolen material easier and I can imagine it MIGHT be like that in FL as well. Are there any other things I should be aware of being that I'm pretty new to the state in regards to the sale of scrap metal/materials? I see a LOT of junk trucks here in Pinellas County where I'm now at, especially in the Pinellas Park area and I found there are a good number of yards in central Pinellas. But before I call them for pricing and possibly collect I obviously wanna be aware of any special laws here first. I'd definitely appreciate any and all necessary info.
