    After reading the link, it seems that if you save your receipts, claim your income, and dont do anything shading you wont have any problems with the IRS.
    Should be no offense taken as "scrap peddler" or just "peddler" is the standard scrap industry term for an individual that sells scrap to a scrap yard.
