    Legal advice?

Today I went scrapping for the first time with my little brother. It was around 10:30pm and we were just finishing up when we saw a lawnmower next to some trash cans. The mower worked but had a busted wheel, no vehicle was in the driveway so we assumed no one was home. Would it of been legal to take thw lawnmower? Like I mentioned it was on the street next to 2 trash cans and a bag of trash?

    thanks for the help.

When in doubt you should always ask regardless. It is just a good business practice and PR for your business. It could also open up other opportunities for you going forward.
    Just my .02 cents

I agree. I have taken many mowers, but all were with the trash can and had wheels missing, trash bags on top of and so on. We already have a very misunderstood reputation, every time I ask I am thanked by the home owner.
