Auction I was at today some 316 SS pipe was on the block, it was on the rack in the pic and there is some by the short cement wall. Not a whole lot there but a fair amount...ended up going for $2450 to a guy that does buy a lot of scrap but I'm fairly sure he was not looking to scrap this.
Not all pipe by the wall, some aluminum angle to the right of pile.

Whoever got it did way well. Looks to be 3"-6" sch 40 20 footers going by what I am looking at. Hard to tell wall thickness though Nice haul. 316 is food/brewery grade so if he's got an outlet he's got a 2-10 bagger if he plays it right and has the contacts.

A 2 bagger is a double on your money. A ten bagger is 10 times your money.
I just placed an order for this stuff on mcmastercarr online and the retail as shown in picture is nearly $6000.00
if you send suppliers back their product you might get full credit towards new stuff from them. or like 60 - 80% of retail in a check.
I guess I should go cancel my order

Returning stock that was not purchased in the first place seems a hard road to take.
They have all invoices on record. When you ask for a refund they are going to ask when you purchased it and a record of this transaction.
This company did not get this large by being taken advantage of. They sell product not buy it!

Agreed Joe...good tool to check retail prices on something like that tho.
actually there are tons of material suppliers that will buy any raw stock off of me if they are uncut length ex. 6',8',12' no small pieces. especially if it is a product that they currently have a regular buyer for. I don't bid on the raw stock myself because the distributors send their own guys to buy up the stock. I would never know if I was bidding against one or not. that and if racks go up for auction because there are rack company buyers also.
its not like buying something at Walmart and trying to return it to target. with standard stock alloys and metals they all sell the exactly same product and they probably buy it from the same mills.
I was just thinking that I had to show a reciet of purchas for some water pumps I was selling. so I did. they saw what I paid for them but they were still getting a good deal on them so they did not ask. same with the first 75 KVA transformer I sold.
they only asked for proof of ownership after they agreed upon price.

What the heck is he/she talking about, none of their posts make any sense,,,But still I prefer to PPR pipe fitting. I don't think so that PPR pipe can be destroy after 50 years. and one big advantage is that it is easy to install.
