Making a tool holder: how do you attach HDD magnets to plywood?

I like to use the round magnets from microwaves and put them on my fridge to hold scissors, utility knife, etc.

Looks good. I got same thing up on the wall. By my work bench. Tried it on the bench itself but kept knocking tools off. More convenient overhead.

I have a 5 gallon overflowing with magnetrons for that very purpose. I've just been too lazy to take them apart, I did a bunch last year and there such a PITA I can't bring myself to do it.
