Hello, I know this is an old thread but what the hell. I just moved from Chicago to the Raleigh area (Morrisville) and looking for local laws about scrapping from dumpsters and such. I have been scrapping for over a decade and I try to always check with local laws prior to doing much. Give me a shout.
If you haven't already do go to the intro section and start your own thread. I'm not a good source on local laws in your area. My business does not include dumpsters or curb shopping no help there either.
The best advise I can give is continue to read the old threads and contact the scrap yards you are interested in doing business with. As the yards what they require you to do in order to sell to them. Two of the yards I use have cameras to photo your vehicle and face. 73, Mike
