    Finally decided to join!

My name is Darren. I'm from the good ol town of North Platte, Nebraska but am currently going to school at Red Rocks Community College in Denver, CO. I have done a lot of scrapping in Nebraska but have been doing a little out here as well to make a little extra money. Took in my first haul yesterday, will post in the prices section. Nice to be part of the scrapping community.

Thanks for the welcome folks! After seeing that you guys were in the area I wondered if you deal with Atlas Metals as well or get a better deal elsewhere?

I use all recycling. But I may start calling atlas to check prices. I just saw your other post and there prices for alluminum was higher then Alls by like 5 to 7 cents a pound. Not a big deal for small loads I guess. I like All because they are pretty liberal with the shred stuff. I mean you can take a striped out dishwasher and they still pay shred price for it. When I say striped out i mean motor, heating element, and wires only removed I dont bother with all the other stuff. How is atlas with the shred stuff?

Thanks Dee! Studying Outdoor Recreation, just hoping to find an occupation doing something I love, being outside.

PTS - I actually haven't taken any shred to them yet. I'm doing this all out of my car so I have to pass on the bulky stuff sadly. I appreciate the info about All recycling, just need to get a pick up out here now
