    Newbie here... Scrapping Cats

I'm just getting into scrapping Cats and haven't found a buyer I can trust yet and I'm still learning but don't get it twisted, I'm no dummy just cuz I'm a woman. So When we found a cat off of a Lamborghini Murcielago a few days ago in one of the storage units we got at the auction, I was so floored! I mean, it's not an Aventador, but still, it should be worth a good bit, right?? Someone lead me in the right direction. I'm in Louisiana by the way... Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum from Las Vegas! I second gorven's recommendations. For what it's worth, posh vehicles don't necessarily have high-value convertors. Porsche's have foil convertors for example which are the cheapest.

A Lamborghini catalytic converter usually has good value but it’s recycling value not used part resale value.

You already have a pre-conceived notion that all catalytic converter buyers can’t be trusted and your converter is worth a lot of money.

My suggestion to you is to sell it to someone for re-use on their Lamborghini car if it has a lot of personal value to you. If not, just keep it as a nice piece to display.

A Lamborghini cat? Really? It is unusual (rare, at least) to see a Lamborghini in real life and someone has parted one out or got spare parts to sell?
NEW TO SCRAPPING? READ THIS: Build up your horde of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in two piles until you have a better understanding of the business. Magnetic material has low value and is mostly always steel / shred / short iron. Read old threads about non-magnetic metals and ewaste (and how to sort them), but don't forget that they generally have absolutely no tolerance for contamination (screw / iron / foreign material).

Someone just deleted the converters. Very common thing done to Lamborghinis.

I have two cats. Fluffy and Baby. I would never think of scrapping either of them...
