Thumbs up Catalytic Converter Processor from Canada!

Hello SMF, i'm happy to be here and in a place where like minded buyers and sellers are. ill give a rundown about Ccon Metals and who we are; we are a family owned business based out of Abbotsford British Columbia, we've been a bit slow in modernizing with the catalytic converter industry but that hasn't held us back. 6 months ago we started work on a project called CCON Revolution, it is designed to take anyone who knows a little about catalytic converters and jump start them into making the most from their units. our free-invite-only-web-app gives users complete access to detailed invoicing, a full database of units with a budding picture library, order/shipment number systems, and some additional advanced features to manage profitability. our hopes are to get this web app in the hands of as many buyers and generators as possible to grow our business and grow theirs, ideally we would bolster a buyer in every city and develop a network of honest reliable buyers who ship to us direct.

thank you to anyone who read my shpeel, i look forward to hearing some of your thoughts on the converter industry as a whole. i know its plagued with unsavory types, which is why we are trying to shed some light on the converter market.

I like that you used the word shpeel and thanked up for listening to it.

There are a few cat buyers on here. How you are proposing youd like things to work for you is similar to how a lot of buyers on here operate for many things (capacitors, electronics scrap, etc).... Buying from all over, to increase the amount of scrap they can get, from all over the country. Good luck!

I've previously done business with Greg at C-con, they're a de-canning facility that ships raw material to the Stillwater refinery in Montana.

Good to see another Canadian processing plant! I don't know of too many reputable ones around my area (Northern-Ish ontario), so I might reach out when I have a stock pile worth considering sending over your way.

Send C-con pictures and Bcc; that message to APA and see which buyer puts a smile on yer face.

Your Canadian buyer will quote ya in funny $$$ to keep ya confused on the exchange rate.

They are a middleman. They buy and de-can. If you want to call that a processing plant, that is left up for discussion.

I personally answer each text; I give honest answers why something is worth $1,000 and why other things are worth $30 (aftermarkets).

They buy and de-can. Is that a considered processing plant? That is the question. Yes they buy and yes the crush the guts out. That’s what they do.

I'm not associated with this business nor have i returned.

I had them do an XRF shot of an ore sample, charged us $350.00 for something I now have done from a fellow in Ontario for $20.00.

Everything but the kitchen sink, platinum 17 ppm which is decent for an ore.

wowza, i guess i didn't have notifications turned on. I can tell those that know us enjoy working with us. Alloy2 was charged 350 for xfr data back when we were assaying and cutting everything,we currently don't do business with stillwater. we no longer are at that dump of a yard, we have moved to a clean industrial park at 2707 progressive way. id love to get anyone who doubts ccon's ability free access to our web app. we've evolved into a completely different being than most of you may have had experience with. the Ccon you all may know from years past is very different. I think you'll like it.

P.S. any US customers get quoted in USD not cad, also APA, you gotta chill man, this is just my happy little intro, we can go to war with pricing on the forums if thats what your after, if possible i would rather show you our web app then get judged by you after.

If you even want just see what we can have to offer, shoot me an E-mail to Jonathan@ccon.ca, I don't answer 24/7 because i'm not a robot like this other guy here...hehe, but i do get back to people as soon as i can.

Richard from Hope B.C. told me that he had sold that 20 inch electric truck folding crane magnet to you guys, that used to be mine.

I purchased it from Rudy who has a yard on the Fraser Highway.

If your not using it, would you consider selling it.

Also would you consider purchasing concentrates based on assay.

    1. Ultrasonic tank removing wash coat.
    2. Assay sample along side jar of concentrates.

I have been a paying member here for 4.5 years. I take people texting me at 3am with mufflers asking what they are worth. Answering people’s questions and talking for hours. So I have been invested here for years. So yes when someone shows up and says they are a “processor” when you really just knock the guts out of the converters in their shells, that’s it. If that’s a processor, then you are a processor.........

You can go to war with me on pricing, I have nothing to loose. With your CCON revolutions, projects, management, databases, and processing plants, your prices should be ATLEAST DOUBLE of mine.

I guess I am a catalytic converter buying robot then. The difference is I OWN THE COMPANY, I don’t get a paycheck from someone else. If I don’t take care of people, I don’t eat. I stay hungry 24/7.

there was a bit of a confusing time in Ccon's history, we initially had 2 yards, ccon steel and ccon metals. cats were done from the metals yard and non ferrous was out of the steel yard which were side by side. management changed, greg sold the steel yard to an ex-employee and they grew to become Fraser Valley Metal Recycling. if anyone would have that magnet still you're best bet would be there you could ask for Carlo(s) and see what he says.

i would be more than willing to test that sample baggy for you and see what it yields, having the material be dry definitely helps, but we can see what we can do, i promise you no 350$ charge, ill just give you in usd what the dollar per pound value would look like.
