    First time user

    Good morning.

I've been scrapping vehicles and copper for a while, but have been been finding it more enjoying over the past couple of years. Recently, when bringing a completely stripped 12V92TA to the local scrap yard, the boys mentioned how it would be awesome to see some videos of the scrapping process for all the odd things I bring them.

So I thought, what the heck, maybe i'll dig into scrapping a little more thoroughly. Right now I'm working on scrapping a 500KW generator that I got to take home from a removal job, and I decided to give documenting this a try! I have one video of the general disassembly, and am working on the copper extraction right now (100 lbs of copper out of the armature alone so far).

I'm sure there are more efficient and quicker ways to do what I'm doing, so any comments or advice you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated! T

I watched your video, gave you your first “thumbs up”. My suggestion would be a forklift and plasma cutter to increase efficiency.

    Thanks!

I'm actually working on a deal for a forklift right now - an old propane one from work.
