Be cautious of the easiest money

Hello everybody, Manjelle here. It's been 2 yrs since I posted.changed jobs, broke my knee in 2 places, finally got a chance to settle in and read a lil. Anyway I make my extra spending money doing what I love most, on my time off of work I get my honey dos done first, then I load my lil playmate with some ice cold beer, then while the wife is at work, I love to ride the dirt and gravel roads. You can always count on the trashy class of humans dumping their trash on side of the road, so I pick up all the metal, ride to the scrapyard with it then try to pick up the recast then the landfill. The tip is I call the sheriff and report it before loading anything up, someone threw a load of rusted t posts Sunday and I just started loading them up, and here comes the sheriff car, almost got a ticket for littering, luckily they know that I scrap the back roads all the time. You'd be surprised at what you find sometimes. What did anyone find that made them the most in one lick. P.S.I love cold beer.

I don't know what found scrap load got me the most. My loads are usually pretty small. It could be the 8 refrigerators I got one time through and ad I placed where someone wanted to get rid of a garage full. I think I may have gotten $200. Now if you want to know about picking garage sales, I have gotten some duzies! Here is a thread I started that others have contributed to... https://www.scrapmetalforum.com/day-...-boo-ya-9.html

My best single find remains the fireplace front panel I found that was selling for $749 on frontgate.com (marked down from $999).

I didn't sell it, mindewe, its 80 pound self is still gracing my hearth...

Very nice. That is beautiful. Is it cast iron? It looks like cast brass.
