It's always nice to say Hello.

Hi Folks. I have been popping in and out of here for a few months and feel I should earn my keep and contribute. I am not typical in the sense that my main goal is to make as much money as I can. I do electronics and various computer equipment. Repair what I can and donate to people I meet and causes I think are important. All the rest gets scrapped. I do this strictly part time. Sometimes it's not always the cash that benefits you the most. So goodluck to all of you and I will post if I find something unusual.

Welcome to SMF from the Buffalo Commons. Personally I think you have a great perspective in regards to helping others. One mans trash is another mans treasure. I am not knowledgeable about computers, but based on this forum a lot of individuals could benefit from the refurbished machines. Kudo's to you. I hope you will share your adventures and we do love pictures. Good luck.
Give back more to this world than we take.

I can certainly appreciate your approach to scrapping, and to life in general! I think there's a good number of us here that have gotten into scrapping but are really on the outer fringe of it all. One thing is certain; there certainly is a pretty broad range of scrapping done amongs't us all. EWaste seems to be a vein onto itself, while some (such as myself or you) tend to primarily deal with scrapping as a by-product of whatever hobby or profession we're already involved in. No doubt the larger majority perhaps approach scrapping from a full-on if it's metal (but especially non-ferrous I suppose) get 'er into the truck!
