Cool Hello, US Refurbishers Here (Hard Drives are our game)

    Hello Everyone,

We are new here, and we are looking to buy As-Is, Defective, or good working Hard Drives here. We are testing this out to see if we are in the right place for this. So if any veteran of the forum knows, please inform us if we are in the right place, and if its a place to find what we are looking for. We have been in business 20 years, and we are looking for additional sources which brought us here. Thanks in advance for any feedback

Buyers thread with pricing is what you should be setting up here if you want to buy here.

This would be a great place to find hard drives but you need to pay for a buyers thread if you want to use the forum to do business.

What they said. Indeed, I always have dead hard drives that I want to sell whole rather than breaking them down, mainly laptop ones. It just depends on price. Please do let us know if and when you post to the buyer's thread so we can go check your stuff out! Nice to have you here, in the meantime!

Welcome, there are a lot of people that would be interested in what you have to offer as in pricing. Please purchase a buyer’s ad when you can.

How's about we find out if this site truly has what he wants? What if they only buy truckload quantities? Only 3 people on here that can supply that... I'd hate to take the guys money for 3 customers. I find it odd/humorous that 4 people jumped in, in less than an hour with "post a paid ad". Just me I guess.

I was just thinking.... out of the paid buyers ad's, how many are still active today? Paid ad's were also supposed to separate the good from the bad. Need we recall the incident of the month?

A few key details would determine if it's worth it for you to go any further. In what quantities? is there a limit to the size you are looking for ?
( a few gig to + terabytes) mechanical and SSD ? SATA and or PATA, SAS, SCSI etc ? Once we have these answers we can advise you further.
At my current capacity I could not fill a truck in a year - but that's currently ..... Do tell
Remember... wherever you go... there you are

I would tend to agree with you that only a handful of actual "members" could supply truckloads of drives.........However you would be surprised at how many times this forum comes up in google searches and the amount of times I have been called for huge loads of material and I asked them where they found me and they said the Scrap Metal Forum........They never became members and probably never re-visited the forum again but they did find what they were looking for and that was something to do with material that otherwise would have cost them money to get rid of.........I do have some beef with the way the paid ads are done especially the new "bump" feature which I had quite a disagreement with the Admin about and just out of being stubborn I refused to pay the "bump" fee and allowed my ad to get buried.......Good luck to all and not sure what Mr. Greatest's credentials are but I think someone mentioned he was a disgruntled past member that has been trolling here lately

Thumbs up Thanks for the welcome but also know

Thank you all for your replies. When signing up, it said to add some material about myself and company. So that's exactly what I did. Although I appreciate everyone saying spend money to do a buyers thread, but I was simply following the rules and telling everyone what I was doing as a business. I wasnt trying to buy/sell or anything like that. It was simply following the rules listed. And if I didnt put the short info That I did, you wouldnt know much about me lol. I do purchase thousands of SATA drives per month as is, untested or good working, anything from 80gb all the way up to whatever TB. So That is the business I am in simply purchasing.

APA, we do not have a website because we mainly just purchase Hard Drives. Been in this 20 years and we built a nice list up over the years. Of course naturally over the years people and the smaller companies withered away and we had to search for new sources to help with what we needed. So now we are on our journey searching, which led me here to the forum. Since we are quick to the point type of company, I believe our website would say, we buy Hard Drives and pay right away while on the phone with you lol. That's how we roll here at US Refurbishers. As far as price list on what we will pay for each drive, I can certainly give that out, but not sure I can do that here on this welcome forum. And Im not sure about adding an email also, will have to check.

I hope not. It would be a shame to think Gustavus (the teacher and mentor to many on the forum) could morph to this level.

It shouldn't matter who I am.

It should matter what I say.

Who's getting the action on the forum?

    Who gets people to think?

    Who's not afraid?

Who actually would like to buy this website?

No, it's not Proton. I was just joking because he was not a fan of the membership fee either and he let it be known.

Without credentials or reputation you are just a troll and not adding anything to the discussion....so are you a seasoned scrap veteran or a keyboard warrior

    He's both.
I do believe he is a seasoned scrap veteran. I also believe he could contribute a lot to this forum if he wanted to. It appears he would rather stir the pot.
