    New from New England

    Hello all,

Young kid from over here on the east coast. My father has been a small time scrapper for side money most of his life, and since I'm home and need extra money, I figured why not. Currently just using the back of my SUV, but looking to get a small sized trailer for bigger stuff/loads. Just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to the forum. Start reading old threads and you will find ways to make money you likely have not been exposed to. 73, Mike

Thanks everybody. I actually managed to pick up a small amount this past week from a friend. Bunch of brass fixtures and such, and a large copper-centered water heather. Think it's worth it to rip it open?

Take your time to do a little research and determine if there is any re-sale value to the items you have gotten. Once you decide that they are to be scraped then you will gain knowledge dismantling most everything you get. There can be a lot of value in brass fixtures so don't jump on scraping them until you feel comfortable. 73, Mike

I was planning to wait on those brass pieces as I've seen they can be decent if in bulk. Just trying to decide If this tank is worth cutting into. There's lots of posts on the white, rounder water heaters, but this one is shaped more like an oxygen or propane tank. Guy says it was a water heater though.
