Welcome from regulation capital of the world: new york. Aren't reefers aluminum bodied? If so, I would think they'd go as clean aluminum(I could be wrong).

Do some more reading and you will find some related info in the old threads.

There are several ways to do it. First how much time do you have, also tools, room, experience that relates to dismantling. Can you resell some of the parts like the refer itself? Do you know what they are made of?

You might just roll it across the scales at the salvage yard and get lower but quick return. Mike

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I doubt they'd be clean- I believe the siding is aluminum, but the insides almost have to be lined with something.

Do the reefer units work? If so, you may be able to sell them, and scrap the rest of the trailer. Of course, selling parts is the best way to make money- if there are good tires, brakes, or other parts, you may be able to find a buyer.

I think the insides would be lined with plywood like a dry van, with a layer of insulation between that and the outer skin, but I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time!
